Adela joined SkinMD® in November, 2004. She received her aesthetician license after attending the well-respected Tennessee Technology School at Nashville (TTCN) under the guidance of Mrs. Louise Fondaw.

While still a student at TTCN, Adela’s love of learning led her to attend additional training in the skin care field by traveling to skin care conferences and lectures throughout the U.S. During this time, she received additional training on technologically advanced skin care treatments such as facial rejuvenation and Microdermabrasion.

In April 2004, Adela received certification as a Paramedical Skin Care Specialist through Image International in Houston, Texas. Her education has continued as, in March 2005, she received training and certification with both the Institute for Medical Aesthetics and La Roche-Posay. Adela also received certification for laser hair removal with Phoenix Photonix.
Adela brings not only her broad knowledge of medical aesthetics to SkinMD® but also advanced computer skills and medical assistant experience. She is fluent in Spanish and thanks to her travels to Brazil, manages basic Portuguese. One of her many goals is to become fluent in that language as well.

Adela is devoted to her family, friends, and pets. She also enjoys knitting, reading, the martial arts and traveling.
